Ballet 1 — Phases

This ballet, to the music of Glazanov follows the phases that we go through in the pursuit of happiness. The ballet explores the emotions, moods and feelings in both men and women in their relationships and in life.

Ballet 2 — Primere Amore

Choreographed by Sharon Fernandez

Set to the traditional Spanish style music of Ottmar Liebert, Matos-Rodriguez and Astor Piazzolla, ‘Primere Amore’ is a triangle love story involving three couples different passages to falling in love. One lustful, another passionately involved and the third couple turbulent. We all hold in our hearts the dream of one day experiencing the floating sensation of true love, of being completely happy. Love is seeing each other as we are meant to be seen, from the inside.

Ballet 3 — In Paradisum

Choreographed by Simon Hoy

In Paradisum is a narrative ballet that attempts to put a human face to the ongoing tragedy that is the current situation in Iraq. With music by Faure and Tchiakovsky the ballet tells the story of Naijida, a beautiful young Iraqi woman and Benjamin an American working in Iraq. In Paradisum presents both a provocative and engaging display of human responses to such tragedy. In the face of confusion it tries to define plausible gestures and moods that transcend national borders and disasters - and in the end to defy words.
